Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. – Phil 4:4-7
In morning worship, Dr. Schultz explained that we often fail to give thanks because we like to fret and worry and depend on ourselves. I need to be aware of instances when I am anxious and discontent. It is then that I need to remind myself not to worry, but to depend on God. This was a timely sermon, in light of upcoming finals and the holiday season.
