Shaving

I now have 5 regular thicker hairs on my chin that I shave 2 or 3 times a week. I think I am growing up. For the Center for Christian Statesmanship, I am writing a paper for my boss on Discipleship and another on The Misleading Metaphor: Separation of Church and State.

Chapter 5 (End)

Can someone be a Christian if he lives in luxury and self-indulgence and does not care for the poor? I think not. “You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.” – James 5:5 A true Christian has fruit! If we are suffering or being oppressed,… Read More »

This weekend

Friday: Went to work. At night, I went to caregroup at Fairfax Covenant Church. The sermon on Psalms 16 was excellent. (See preaching notes on the right hand menu.) Father’s Day Weekend

This weekend, I went back to NY with Uncle Tong. We stopped along the way in Philadelphia to eat, then visited some of his sisters and their family in NJ. On Saturday, I played basketball with my friend Josh, went to cell group at Covenant, then ate dinner with my dad’s side of the family.

Holiness

Holiness – something we must have! Leviticus 11:45 I am the LORD who brought you up out of Egypt to be your God; therefore be holy, because I am holy. Matthew 5:48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. Hebrews 12:14 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to… Read More »
